Cambodia is home to one of the most visited religious sites in the world. The place that people like to visit is Angkor Wat built in the early 12th century, it was first a Hindu temple and then became a Buddhist one. This awe-inspiring and incredibly well preserved temple is the national symbol and it is on the country's flag. Its archaeological and spiritual wonder is now open to the public. You can tour the places of worship and find some of the best art, history, and archaeology. When you tour the place you have to practice proper etiquette to the religious site. Here is a list of do's and don'ts for visiting all Buddhist temples.
*Take off your shoes and hats before entering. There will almost always be a sign outside of the temple pointing to the designated area for shoes and hats.
*Dress properly if your want to tour the inside of the temple.
*Ask permission before taking pictures. If you do take pictures, it is always nice to leave a donation.
*Don't touch Buddha statures.
*Pay attention to signs at the entrance and observe the rules properly.
*Don't chat, make a loud noise, or make a phone call inside the temple.
